Swedish women have launched a campaign called Just Breasts (Bara Bradiost) which fights for their right to go topless on beaches and in swimming pools. Scandinavian feminists were outraged when two women were asked to cover up their breasts by a lifeguard at a public pool near Stockholm.
22-year-old Ragnhild Karlsson, said: ‘If women are forced to wear a top, shouldn’t men also have to?’ A spokeswoman for Bara Bradiost said ‘We want our breasts to be as normal and desexualised as men’s, so that we too can pull off our shirts at football matches.’
The campaign’s strategy: members of Just Breasts have been jumping into swimming pools across the country wearing nothing more than bikini bottoms. Odd Culture surmises that this may be the easiest campaign ever.
“Please, put your shirt on. We men don’t want to see gorgeous Swedish breasts. The outrage!”

I support all women going topless.
If women can whip their breasts out in public and not be harassed, why is it suddenly considered wrong for the to do so when they are not breastfeeding?
I mean, what is the harm, they aren’t trying to rape anybody and breasts are completely normal appendages for women to have!
I would allow any member (male or female) of my family, or any other to go topless on my property at any time.
I do draw the line at complete nudity because that would confuse the children.
I agree completely with Bruce Wayne. My wife normally goes topless at all Australian beaches but she has to pack a bikini top when she goes to the US. This is absurd.
I believe in topfreedom for women, and casual famiy nudity for families at home.
I believe our society has gotten it’s eyes stuck in sexual tendencies it doesn’t know how to get out of. If women all across America went topfree all at once then the sexuallity of women’s breasts would cease to be in public, but only when women want them to be, instead of them always being when men want them to be. Besides, it’s all the cover up of women’s nipple’s that have created the whole sexuality about them anyways!
honestly, if it’s just down to the nipples why not exploit that loophole and get some bandaids to cover them, i know it’s about not needing to.
but still, if you can prove to those enforcing the law that it basically comes down to a technicality for ‘decent exposure’ it’s one step close to being abolished
But what you guys don’t understand is that these feminists are trying to “desexualize” the breast, so that a man doesn’t get a raging boner everytime he sees one. Thats the main reason that women in the US are required to wear tops. There is an extreme sexual stigma attached to boobs, and lets face it, completely desexualizing them, is never going to happen. I’m of the mindframe that its pretty much genetically engrained into every guys head to loooooooove boobs.
